2 deaths on Gran Canaria beaches

2 people, a 67 year old Spanish woman and a 55 year old German man have drowned on a beach known as Punta del Ingles in Playa del Ingles, Gran Canaria today. They were bathing on a beach which had a red flag flying. Other people bathing in the same area were of the same age and were on holiday on the island.
