Occupation levels in Canaries ‘highest in Spain’

Reaching 65.8% in October (2010), the Canaries had the highest occupation levels Spain last month, in particular, Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote received the highest occupation levels above the national average of 50.8%. It is thouht that the increase in low-cost flights to the Canaries is boosting these figures as British low-cost flights were up last month by 38.2% followed by Germany (up 19.5%).
