Hotel occupancy at all time high for Easter

Hotel room availability in the region look set to be low, as the early Easter and hotel closures combine to result in a lower than usual number of available rooms.

Up to 12% of rooms in the region are currently closed for refurbishment, meaning that space is now at a premium, with many hotels reporting that they are nearly at capacity.

Forecasts earlier in the year predicted better than ever occupancy rates for hotels due to the unrest in countries such as Turkey, Egypt and Tunisia.
