Artisan market to open in Gran Canaria

The Cabildo in Gran Canaria has annouced plans to create an artisan market in San Bartolomé de Tirajana.

The plan is to create a new venue for local producers. On the island there is nearly 30 recognised local artisans, who specialise in 15 different areas.

The idea was tabled in a meeting between Minister of Industry, Commerce and Crafts, Minerva Alonso, and the Mayor of the municipality, Marco Aurelio Pérez.
