Further unemployment rise in the Canary Islands

The unemployment figures continue to rise in the Canaries with a further 4.508 people adding to the figures. This is a rise of 1.72% in April 2010 over the figures of the previous month. The total number of unemployed is 266.042 people. By provinces, Las Palmas’ figures were higher, with 1.96% when compared to Santa Cruz with 1.44%. When comparing these figures with the same period lasy year, unemployment is up 7.93%
