TF-1 extension opens

The latest extension to the TF-1 motorway has opened. The 14.5km stretch between Vera de Erques and Las Manchas near to Santiago del Teide opened at lunchtime yesterday.

The full stretch opened, however traffic was down to one lane each way through the Bicho tunnel while repair works are carried out on cracks.

The final stretch, between Vera de Erques and Adeje, will open in the summer.
