Tourism spend over 2.500 million in first quarter of 2010
The amount of money spent by tourists visiting the Canary Islands in the first three months of 2010 is over 2.500 million euros and accounts for 31% of tourism spend Nationally. This amount is down by 2.6% when compared with the same period in 2009. The spend per tourist/per stay is also down to a figure of €1.061 as is the daily touris spend which is down to €101 per day/per tourist. The figures also show that the British tourist spend is down by 7.8%.
