Trams in near collision in Santa Cruz

An investigation has been launched after 2 trams nearly collided after ending up facing each other on the Santa Cruz – La Laguna tram line.

The drivers of the trams averted a potential disaster by bringing the trams to a stop, however questions are being asked how they ended up on the same section of track.

Services were temporarily suspended to allows the trams to pass one another, and an investigation has been launched.
