New Fuerteventura – Norway flights to start in October 2012

A new weekly Fuerteventura – Norway route is to commence from 30th October 2012 for the first time. The Fuerteventura council has reported in a press release that this flight will connect Fuerteventuras airport with Norways Oslo-Gardermoen every Tuesday from 30th October 2012 to 2nd April 2013. Flight tickets are available from today from the operators (Norweigan Air) official website. Minister of Tourism of Fuerteventura, Blas Acosta, said “This is great news which confirms the resurgence of Scandinavian market we’ve been experiencing since 2011” he added “Norweigan Air is a low cost airline, which as we know are using a profile of tourists who are interested in the attraction of the destination, leaving the hotel, which positively affects the local economy with an average daily expenditure over the the conventional tourist”.

The implementation of this new air connection will be enhanced with a promotional agreement between Fuerteventura Tourist Board and Norweigan Air. The Communications Director of Norwegian Air, Lasse Sandaker-Nielsen, in a statement has expressed confidence that “Fuerteventura with its variety of scenarios with rural landscapes, beaches and excellent conditions for surfing and kite will be very attractive for many people”.
