Unemployment drops in the Canaries

Unemployment has dropped slightly in during September 2011, by just 488 people, bringing the total number of unemployed to 252.000, a 0.19% decrease compared to August 2011. In annual terms, unemployment has fallen by 7,761 (-2.99%). Nationally, unemployment has risen for the second consecutive month, the rise in September was 95,817 people (+2.32% on August 2011) bringing the total number of unemployed to 4,226,774 people. In annual terms, unemployment in Spain has risen by 208,981 people (+ 5,20 %).
