€4,000,000 spend on improvements in tourist areas of Tenerife

Three new projects are being put out to tender in Arona, Adeje and Puerto de la Cruz totalling €4,000,000. The vice president and chief executive of the Cabildo Insular de Turismo, Carlos Alonso, said in a statement that “they rehabilitate three important areas of the tourist towns of the island, which will improve the image and competitiveness of the island”. The project to be undertaken in the municipality of Arona, at a cost if €645,000, is the improvement and refurbishment of the square and shopping center parking lot next to the City Center. In Adeje, in a first phase, at a cost of €1,830,000, work is to be undertaken in the Avenida de los Pueblos, in the section that runs through Avenida Eugenio Dominguez and Avenida de Espana. In the case of Puerto de la Cruz, bidding will be taken in the coming days for a project that involves “improvement and refurbishment of Paseo de San Telmo”, in this area a “new space and waterfront that enhances the commercial hub and the integration of the coast and the coastal landscape of the city and promoting the establishment of new businesses” will be created. This work has an estimated cost of €1,500,000 euros
