May 2011 Spain Elections

The general feeling is that on a National level, PSOE has lost heavily to the PP party across mainland Spain in this years local and municipal elections. These results reflect the recent protests in the mainland leading up to the elections over the weekend. In the Canaries parliament both the CC and the PP party will hold 21 seats, PSOE 15 and ‘others’ 3. At over 99% of the vote count, the figures look like this for the Canarian parliament:

Number of voters: 926.283
Participation : 63.19%
