Foreign workers leave the Canary Islands

The economic crisis in the Canary Islands has resulted in 15.316 foreign workers leaving the islands on the last 4 years. This decline represents a drop of 16% of total foreign workers affiliated to the Social Security since 2007. There are currently 79.592 foreign nationals working in the Canaries compared to 94.908 in February 2007.
