There is a weather warning alert in the Canaries for today, Wednesday 22nd September 2010 for up to 70 litres of rain per square metre in under 12 hours. This alert will continue until tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon.

Heavy rain is expected across the Canary Islands from Monday (6th Sept 2010) according to the State Meterological Agency. Temperatures will remain the same (21-28ºC). Rain is expected to be heavier in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura than the western islands.
