Electricity to rise 9.8% from 1st January 2011

The cost of electricity is to rise by 9.8% on 1st January 2011 which will mean an average increase of €4 per month on most peoples domestic electricity bills. Some people exempt from the rise are, for example, families where all members are unemployed and people on a minimum pension.
