The search for a British woman reported as missing on Saturday when she apparently went out hiking in Lanzarote on Thursday is now to be extended to the sea with the addition of a maritime rescue boat as there has been no luck so far on land. The boat will track the island’s north coast, in waters of the municipality of Teguise and Haria, where for a third day the search by land has recommenced, including two helicopters, which has not produced any results so far. The woman has been named as Margaret Holt, 65, from the Wirral in the UK, and was last seen on the 23rd of December 2011 as she left her hotel to go for a hike. The emergency telephone numbers for anyone with information are 080 and 062 (from Lanzarote).
