Canaries airports shut down for 25 minutes

All eight of the Canary Island airports were shut down yesterday for 25 minutes due to a power outage in the air traffic control centre, causing delays of up to one hour mainly to international flights. The fault ocurred at 11.30AM and was resolved by 11.55AM and disrupted 43 flights.

Tourism down over 11%

So far this year year tourism has dropped around 11.5% in the number of people visiting Tenerife. In recent figures published by the Tenerife Cabildo, 4.3 million tourists stayed on the island up to the end of November. Down over 11% when compared to last years figures.

20 tons of rubbish on Granadillas streets
