They were dedicated to stealing merchandise which they would later sell to the owner of a Hindu shop which was used as a cover and a store for the goods, which were mainly tobacco and alcohol.

•        In the south of Tenerife, National Police officers in Playa de las Américas proceeded on Monday with the closure of the discotheque "Tramps", located in the Starco centre. This was in response to an order from Tenerife´s Government Subdelegation as a result of offences relating to security laws, as well as the consumption of drugs and the sale of alcohol to under-age people on the premises.  This also follows an incident last December when an employee of the discotheque gave a young Briton a severe beating, following which he later died.  This is the third such establishment to be closed in the area.
