Tenerife during New Year´s Eve and New Year´s Day provoked a
series of long power cuts. The
areas most affected were Arico, Fasnia and Adeje, where in the San

rained. The longest cut
in the supply here was of 5 hours, with owners of various bars and
restaurants complaining bitterly because they were unable to open on
the most important night of the year, and of the loss of supplies
stored in freezers which were without power for such a long period.
