The Tenerife Fire Brigade need funds to replace equipment lost and damaged during the recent forest fires. And as we all know they did such an amazing job, we have to and want to help them. Right?

So…

On Saturday 11th of August, from 3.00PM onwards, there will be a fundraising show held at Roy’s Pizza and Indian Tandoori Restaurant, in San Eugenio Alto.

The main fundraiser on the day will be be a grand raffle with numerous kindly donated prizes (doing well so far, but need lots more prizes please).

The event will be covered live on air, via Coast FM and also will be streamed on their website.

Other radio stations have also been contacted and have kindly agreed to run the advertising, in both English and Spanish. Local Press have also been approached for coverage both before and after the events.

Carlos from the Bomberos (Fire Brigade) will be available on the day, not only with one of the Fire appliances, but also to be interviewed live on the radio.

It is also hoped to have a presence from the British Consulate and some Alcalde’s offices.

One of the event organisers (Kris Richards) will be contacting many venues and entertainers over the next week, (venues and comperes, please also feel free to contact Kris with offers of help too) in the hope of running many fundraising events over the following week or so.

There will be an Adeje Bomberos Land Cruiser with driver, available to call at venues to collect funds raised.

There have already been several generous cash donations to this cause, and so a dedicated bank account will be opened, (details to follow) to enable donations from those who cannot attend any of the events in person.
