Los Gigantes (Tenerife) beach reopens

The ‘Los Guios’ beach in Los Gigantes, Tenerife, reopened at midday last Friday 15th April 2011 after completion of the rehabilitation and improvement works arising from the accident that claimed the lives of two swimmers almost a year and a half ago on 1st November 2009. Work has been done on the access road to the beach and brackets were placed with a length of between four and nine metres high with cement and mesh brought from Santander in Spain. The work was two months overdue and its total cost around €500,000.
