Unemployment has fallen in the Canary Islands in August when compared to figures from last year. The amount of unemployed people dropped by 0.71% to a total of 260.794 people in the Canaries. Nationally, Spains unemployment figures saw a rise bringing the total number of unemployed in Spain to 3.969.661 (a rise in 1.57% when compared to July 2010.
