While the National statistics for the sales and matriculation of vehicles dropped by 23.8% (the lowest since these records began in 1987), the sale of motor vehicles in the Canaries saw a rise of 10.6% during August 2010 when compared to the same period last year. So far this year, 730.906 vehicles have been sold in Spain. By manufacturer, Seat has sold the most vehicles, followed by Volkswagen and Peugeot.
