The island of Tenerife is advertising itself as a tourism destination on the satellite TV channel Liberty TV in Belgium, France and Luxemburg. The campaign started in June and will finish in September and the channel has approximately 4.000.000 viewers. According to José Manuel Bermúdez from Turismo de Tenerife, the island is hoping to attract more visitors from these countries of origin. France tourism currently represents 2.1% (100.000) visitors per year and Belguim 119.438 visitors (2.5%).
