Unemployment reaches 27.6% in the Canaries
Unemployment is due to reach 27.68% (over 300.000 people) in the Canary Islands, the highest figure in Spain. Iberia to go on strike
Iberia ground staff are to go on strike on the 30th April (2010), 7th and 8th of May. These strikes are related to the recent announcement of the merger between the company and British Airways over employment guarantees. The strikes will take place in the Canaries between 10AM and 6PM on the above dates.
Whitney Houston concert cancelled
