Tenerife council to challenge Iberia over baggage charge

The president of the Tenerife council, Ricardo Melchior, has said that if Iberia goes ahead with plans to charge €60 for a second item of luggage, he will have to consider ‘other measures’ against the company. He has said that Iberias plans are ‘out of order’ and that the €60 charge per second item is the same amount that ‘other’ operators charge for a return ticket from the Canaries to mainland Spain.
